Although I am not actually buying clothes right now since I updated my Winter Wardrobe in January - I am enjoying making wishlists.
Nordstrom Shift dress // Urban Outfitters Scarf // Zoeva Brushes //Zara Biker Jacket // ASOS shirt // Topshop Bomber Jacket // Nordstrom T-shirt // ASOS Culottes Since I started the Capsule wardrobe thing last fall, after reading Vivianna's post and Caroline's Blog I am only buying clothes that I need for a particular season and only clothes I have put on my "to buy" list. I have stuck with the basics and my bank accounts thank me for it :). This has also helped me figure out my style and stopped me from buying things I don't need, but buy because they are on sale! (*facepalm). I now make lists and only get the stuff on the list whenever I update my Capsule wardrobe for the next season or cycle. This is not only practical but pretty fun too.

Fall is here and it sure is time to get ready for the chilly days. I do need a new coat, only one problem choosing which one... I have finally narrowed it down to these 3 Banana Republic coats. Why do I have to choose? I just love them all! Aaaaaargh!
Since my move I live very close to work and school now so I have been walking there every morning. This is a good morning exercise but it comes with a catch; My handbag is heavy and my shoulders are complaining. I have decided to look for a stylish backpack that can fit my 15 inch computer and the rest of the many things that I stuff in my everyday bag. I found this perfect Mansur Gavriel one in the top picture in Rosa but unfortunately it is $950 and thus way out of my price range. So I have made a list of my picks that are under $100.
Joggers!!! I have seen a couple and I am definitely in love with them. I tried some on at Pacsun. I nearly bought them ... But you know me I rarely buy full priced items,I am waiting for them to go on sale! Scented Candle! I am not one for scented candles but I was at Bath and Body works and this Honeysuckle candle just got to me. It smells so beautiful. Bag! You always need a new bag! You dont even need a reason to buy one. This Aldo bag can fit a 15 inch computer too ... great or what? Waiting for it to go on sale too.
Well since I have to wear closed shoes in Lab even though its summer, I decided that I might as well do it in style (but still on a budget :P) H&M came to the rescue. I got some really cool flats that I can dress up or down. Yayy me! Surprisingly the brown ones were the cheapest but are the most comfortable. And to think that I nearly didn't get them>>> I bought the brown ones the last!! The blue ones got me with that bow! The print ones have a a gold shimmer that I just couldn't resist!
Oh H&M why do you make me love you so.... Here is one reason to shop in the men's department! The boyfriend shirt is always an easy alternative as you can pair it with jeans and look casual chic or pair it with slacks and look professional glam. therefore whether dressed up or down this shirt is always a winner.
This is a timeless piece that seems to be here to stay. I had been pining for the perfect chambray for a while now but I just could not find the right one. Until this one fine day I walked into Gap and found the perfect one and I could not believe my good fortune when I saw the shirt was on sale too! I have many plans on how I am going to style it but for now here are some of my inspirations.
Decided to take a leap of faith and got my brows waxed on a whim! turned out to be the best on-the-fly decision I have ever made. Was doing some shopping when I ended up at a Benefit cosmetics booth and their Brow booth seemed to be calling my name. Have never done my brows before (eek) but it was a breeze with the Benefit people. Not expensive and not that painful either. I will definitely be doing it again in a month or so. Also got myself their Gimme brow product to brush on my brows since they are sparse. It gives a natural look and since my brows were mapped and shaped it opens up the face! I am in love.
I am on the shy side so I try to avoid clothes that reveal a lot of skin buuut there is a new trend that has caught my eye which might just help me forget about my shyness…. CROP TOPS! They are not that much of a new trend so you can call me late to the party if you want but i had to sit back in the shadows and watch for a while before i hopped on the train to Crops-ville. I have seen them in all colors and on different body types! Dare I say these tops definitely do not discriminate they work on anyone and everyone! You can style them up or down but the best for me so far is when the crop top is paired with a midi skirt! More on the Midi skirt later!
So they say you can tell a lot about a woman just by the bag she carries. Well I believe that as much as I believe that you can tell a lot about a man just by the the shoes he wears ;). I like different bags for different occasions but for everyday I prefer the big bag since I am a student who carries loads of stuff at a time. Well since I have to carry loads I might as well do it in style!
